The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has approved venues submitted by Asante Kotoko SC and Ash Gold SC for their upcoming CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup matches respectively.
Asante Kotoko SC would commence the Africa campaign this weekend with a game against FC Nouadhibou in Mauritania while Ash Gold SC stays in Obuasi to welcome Salitas FC of Burkina Faso.
Kotoko have already informed CAF about their readiness to use the Accra Sports Stadium for their Champions League games while the Obuasi based side have alerted the continent’s football govering body about the two stadium they knee using in the Confederation Cup.
CAF has approved that Ash Gold can now use the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi as their first choice, with Cape Coast Stadium as their second choice.
The Accra Sports Stadium was approved for Asante Kotoko as their first choice with Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale as their second choice.

Kotoko have opened a slow start to the Ghana Premier League failing to win any of their opening two games.
They drew at home against Eleven Wonders before Emmanuel Clottey’s stoppage time strike for Berekum Chelsea succumbed the Porcupine Warriors to a season’s second straight draw.
Ash Gold are faced with similar fate after drawing at home against Karela United in week 1 and would play as the away side to Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium Tuesday evening.
