Chelsea have been open to offering players as makeweights during negotiations for Jules Kounde and there is a possibility of Sevilla accepting a part-exchange bid.
Chelsea have reportedly tabled a £30milion bid to Sevilla for centre-back Jules Kunde and have included Kurt Zouma as part of the deal.
Thomas Tuchel is looking to make his first signing of the summer window as the 22-year-old has emerged as his top target.
The centre-half impressed for the Spanish side last season as he helped them qualify for the Champions League and was called up to France’s squad at Euro 2020 as a result.
Kounde has also caught the attention of Manchester City as well, but it appears the Blues are in pole position to sign the highly-rated defender.
And journalist Fabrizio Romano claims the Stamford Bridge club are close to an agreement with a £30m offer on the table.
Chelsea have been open to offering fringe players as makeweights during negotiations and there is a possibility of Zouma going in the other direction as a part-exchange. Emerson Palmieri has not been included, however.
Kounde has three years left on his deal for Sevilla, who have already completed a part-exchange with another Premier club this summer as Tottenham signed winger Bran Gil with Erik Lamela joining the La Liga outfit.
The Englishman was a regular under Frank Lampard before he left his post, but has been unable to force his way into Tuchel’s plans.
Chelsea value Abraham at £40m and Arsenal are said to are interested in the forward as Mikel Arteta looks for attacking reinforcements this summer.
Any move hinges on the Gunners offloading Alexandre Lacazette, however, who has a £15m price tag.
Abraham is said to be keen on a switch to the Emirates and the North London club are reportedly willing to meet the striker’s wage demands if they can agree a fee with Chelsea.
