The Phobians have made an approach to acquire the services of the Ghana U23 defensive midfielder in the ongoing transfer window according to reports in Ghana.
Ghana Premier League champions Accra Hearts of Oak have commenced talks to sign Ebusua Dwarfs midfielder George Asamoah for their next season’s campaign.
The 23-year-old midfield dynamo has emerged as a top transfer target of several clubs in the Ghana Premier League including Asante Kotoko and Great Olympics following his exploits at Ebusua Dwarfs in the just ended season.
Kickgh.com has anticipated that Hearts of Oak is the latest club to express interest in signing the Ghana U23 midfielder to strengthen their midfield ahead of the 2021/22 season.
Asamoah is currently unattached following the expiration of his one-year contract with the Cape Coast Sports Stadium outfit.
He managed to score three goals in 33 game outings for Ebusua Dwarfs in the just ended season, winning three man of the match awards in the process.
Hearts of Oak are still busy on the transfer market despite landing Gladson Awako, Salim Adams, Isaac Agyenim Boateng, Kofi Kordzi, Enock Asubonteng, Benjamin Yorke and Suraj Seidu as their new signings for their next season’s campaign.
Asamoah was among the locally based footballers who were handed debut call-ups to the Black Stars of Ghana ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations double-header qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome.
Asamoah has previously had stints with West African Football Academy SC and Inter Allies before joining Ebusua Dwarfs last year.
