Barnieh has had a tremendous transition helping Ghana U20 to win African Youth Championship in Mauritania, assisting the Black Galaxies to qualify for 2023 African Nations Championship and being one of the two local players to feature for the Black Stars at the Qatar World Cup.

Al Ahly have entered the race for Barnieh and are close to beating Esperance de Tunis to the Hearts of Oak attacker.
Ghanaian portal Kickgh reports that the Egyptian Premier League side have begun negotiations with Hearts of Oak for the service of their marksman Daniel Afriyie Barnieh who has is still reluctant on extending his contract.
Barnieh contract at Hearts of Oak ends at the end of this month. The ‘Phobians’ have tried all means to maintain the enterprising forward but looks like the player has already made up his mind and is willing for a new challenge elsewhere.
