Mohammed Kudus still pushing for Everton move before the transfer window closes

Everton has been weighing up the chances to sign Ghanaian International Kudus Mohemmed from Ajax this summer with the midfielder willing to make a move to the Goodison Part.

It’s understood that Mohammed Kudus has not given up on leaving Ajax and is hoping that the Dutch club will grant him permission to leave for Everton before the transfer window closes.

The Ghana international midfielder has agreed personal terms with Everton and is pressuring Ajax to accept a bid and approve a transfer.

Kudus boycotted training on Wednesday in an attempt to force Ajax to sell him to the Premier League side. The playmaker is fed up with his bench role and wishes to leave for a club that would value him.

Despite the 22-year-refusal old’s to train, Ajax remain calm and insist that the player is not for sale.

The transfer window closes on Thursday 11pm September 1, and Kudus hopes that Ajax will release him so that he can join Everton.

Kudus, who was outstanding during the preseason scoring four goals in four games, has been relegated to the bench, playing less than 30 minutes in the first four games of the season.

Kudus joined Ajax from FC Nordsjaelland in 2020 for €9 million and signed a five-year contract.

The 22-year-old has appeared in 46 games, scoring six goals and winning back-to-back Dutch league titles. Everton’s interest in Kudus has no links with Antony Gordon who has been shortlisted with a move to Chelsea.

With or without Antony Gordon joining the Stamford Bridge outfit, Everton want to sign Kudus Mohammed. Everton have looked reluctant to let Gordon leave rejecting at least a bid from Thomas Tuchel’s side this summer.

But as many English sources have stated that anything happen on Gordon’s future, Chelsea can still pull the trigger in the transfer deadline day. Should Gordon departs Goodison Park, it may force Everton the push for a replacement deal where Kudus’s transfer may come into the picture boldly.
