Influential Ghanaian movie stars of beauty, love and romance in this time

We are not seeing them in movies on our televisions again. Neither are Ghanaians seeing different faces who may have come to replace them. And does this industrial flaw signals the collapse of a particular movie industry, Ghana’s?.

Despite their fading presence in movies and on tvs, they continue to form the greatest audiences impression and knowledge about the Ghanaian movie industry and some African, Nigeria film industry.

Who are these movie stars? Many mentioning point to Nadia Buari, Jackie Appiah, Van Vicker, Majid Michel, Chris Attoh, Prince Osei, Smith Asante, Juliet Ibrahim, John Dumelo, Martha Ankomah, Joselyn Dumas, Yvonne Nelson and Yvonne Okoro, who are well known to audiences’ desire for beauty, love and romance in this time. Among them, who are the most influential in watchers’ pursuant of love and romance in life that because always draw these audiences to behind the screen.

Truly, these film stars have represented beauty, elegance, boldness, love and romance on people’s screens. For people like Yvonne Nelson, Nadia Buari and Jackie Appiah, they have attracted the men audience, and of many movie-shy background closer to Ghanaian movies.

Most Ghanaian and African men who fancy different entertainment industries like sports, music, art, video game, football and books developed interest in Ghanaian and Nigerian movies because of the three female actresses.

By facts, the two main leading female movie stars in the Ghanaian movie industry, just like the males Van Vicker and Majid Michel, are Nadia Buari and Jackie Appiah. But there is a never ending debate about them whom both’s humor, beauty and talent have drew most audience to the tv and cinema centers.

Jackie Appiah, 41, first appeared on Ghanaian tv aged 17 in a 2000 national tv series, Things We Do For Love but broke into career prominence after a 2006 movie, Mummy’s Daughter, where she played a role of a princess.

Nadia, 42, also first aired on Ghanaian tv in a tv series, Games People Play, in late 2005, and despite featuring in her full movie Mummy’s Daughter, she got the major breakthrough in career after starring in 2006 movie, Beyounce- The President Daughter, where she performed a role as “Beyonce” earning big attention across Africa with Nigeria film industry, Nollywood- the second largest film industry in the world- featuring the Ghanaian actress in similar movie in Nigeria, Beyonce & Rihanna, with Nadia as Beyonce and Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde as Rihanna.

Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro, Juliet Ibrahim and Martha Ankomah have in their own parts lured a segment of men audience to the television through their beauty and soft personality but may not be as productive as the two leading female stars Nadia and Jackie in their generation. Yvonne Nelson, 39, with her attractive eyes and posture became the leader in the industry during when the multiple movie award winning Nadia and Jackie Appiah have temporally been missing.

When Van Vicker started appearing on the tv in series Sun City becoming prominent in movie, Beyonce: The President’s Daughter, in 2006, the dubbed “prince” was seen as women’s perfect figure of love and romance. The 47-year old has had more than 30 films to his name but only little have failed to attract the women audience.

Van Vicker and Majid Michel broke into the industry around the same time which their skill sets were expected to impact watchers.
