Winger Fatawu Issahaku rallies for Ghana support ahead of clash with Nigeria

Black Stars winger Fatawu Issahaku has urged the fans to rally behind the team as they take on Nigeria in the 2022 World Cup playoff.

Ghana and Nigeria battle it out for one of the five tickets to represent Africa at the 2022 World Cup to be staged in Qatar in November.

The first leg encounter comes off at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday March 25, 2022 and the reverse fixture on March 29, 2022 at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

The Sporting Lisbon midfielder is confident of a victory against their West African rivals but has asked Ghanaians for support to overcome the hurdle.

“We are Ghana, Together we can overcome this.let’s come out and support our own on Friday”, the youngster said in a post.

Meanwhile, The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has approved Ghana’s request to admit 40,000 spectators for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 play-off first leg match against Nigeria at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

This comes after the Ghana Football Association’s request to play the game in a full capacity stadium following the laid-down rules by CAF.

The GFA consequently advises all Ghanaians to obey all laid-down safety and security measures strictly to first and foremost have a successful match and also to avoid any sanctions from CAF and FIFA.

Meanwhile, fans are advised to strictly adhere to the designated spectator stakeholders’ders entry points and gates forverification of their tickets.

20,000 tickets have been sold on the e-ticketing platform according to the National Sports Authority.
