Ghanaian youngster Abdul-Aziz Yakubu grabs match winner in home victory over Varzim as Estoril Praia extend Lig Pro lead
Ghanaian young striker Abdul-Aziz Yakubu took his tally of the season to nine goals in the Liga Portugal 2 as Estoril Praia beat Varzim SC.
Estoril were 1-0 victors over Varzim at the Estadio Antonio Coimbra da Mota on Sunday as his side extend their lead on the log with seven points above second place Feirense who have 46 points.
Yakubu scored the only goal of the fixture to ensure Estoril claim all points of the match. The 22-year-old netted the match winner as early as the 8th minute from close range.
Yakubu has now scored 9 goals in 19 appearances in the Portuguese second-tier this campaign.
He has 11 goals with 3 assists in 25 matches across all competitions this season for Estoril.
