Former Mamelodi Sundown defender Eduardo Ferreira reveals desire in search for a new club

The defender has revealed he is searching for a new club after stint in India Professional football, last playing for Neroca FC in India’s second tier league before the coronavirus pandemic.

After a stint with South African club Mamelodi Sundowns, Ferreira signed for Colombian second tier club America Cali in January 2012.

He injured himself in a match against Atlético Bucaramanga in May. In July 2013, he returned to the South African top tier with newly promoted club Black Aces after a stint with Thai club Ratchaburi.

“I am okay and with my family here in Brazil. I am looking for a new team to join after this Coronavirus.

“After leaving my previous club I went to another one there in India but I didn’t like how they do things,” Ferreira told the Siya crew.

“People say, ’We’ll do this and do that, we’ll give you this and we’ll give you that’ but when you get there it’s not the things they promised.

“I don’t like that. I am lucky because three or four weeks before the start of the Coronavirus I was already back in Brazil,”

In 2015, Ferreira signed for Iranian club Esteghlal Khuzestan from Brazilian club Macaé. In the only season he spent with the club, he won the Iran Professional League title with it.

At the end of the season, he was told by the club that he was surplus to its requirements and he was free to leave the club in the summer.

A move back into the PSL is highly possible for the former Downs defender.
