Barcelona Prepared to sack Quique Setien if Champions League ambition fails as Mauricio Pochettino lined-up

Quique Setien was confirmed as Ernesto Valverde replacement at Camp Nou back in January but the former Real Betis manager has struggled to steer Barcelona into the side they have dreamed becoming in future.

Real Madrid have lifted this season’s Spanish Laliga title seeing Barcelona likely to go trophyless if they are crushed out of the Champions League in the helm of Setien.

The Catalan giants are prepared to sack their boss if the club fail to win the Champions League, according to latest reports in Spain.

Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is being targeted should his head roll. The Argentine trainer has been without a job since November 2019 following the announcement of Jose Mourinho at the Tottenham Stadium.

Barcelona face second leg tricky Champions League tie against Napoli in what is expected that Setien will guide Barca through to the quarterfinals of the competition with a pending fixture against Bayern Munich or Chelsea.

They drew 1-1 with Napoli in the first leg in Italy.
