Rio Ferdinand frustrated over Manchester United failure to sign Thomas Partey

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand appears frustrated over United failure to sign Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid in last summer’s transfer window.

The Ghanaian International was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United but Arsenal completed a £45million deal for Partey.

The former Laliga midfielder starred in Arsenal 1-0 victory against United and Ferdinand has questioned his former side for not signing Partey.

Ferdinand, 41, had been urging United to sign Partey last season but his pleas fell on deaf ears.

Speaking on his performance to the FIVE YouTube channel via the Sun, Ferdinand said: “Partey – what?! I said a while ago back in April or before that when I was talking about who United should buy – that was my guy”
