Manchester United join Chelsea in race for Porto left back Alex Telles

Manchester United have reportedly joined the race to sign Alex Telles from FC Porto this summer.

Chelsea’s search for a new left-back amid sale of Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri came along with Blues chasing Telles from the Portuguese outfits.

Frank Lampard was reportedly open €30million talks with Porto five months ago but later developed a huge admiration for Three Lion International Ben Chilwell leaving the race for Telles more open.

It was reported that Porto could wrap up a contract extension for their left-back- whose current contract expires at the end of next season but Manchester United have step in to create a new competition.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær and his Manchester side are looking for massive improvements for next season’s Premier League and the Champions League.

And they have been linked with a move for a central defender together with a move for Dortmund star Jadon Sancho- which they could strike a deal for the English International very soon according to Sky Sports.

The left-back area is the latest area Ole have set his sight on strengthening and Portuguese outlet A Bola reports that Manchester United have identified and want to sign Telles this summer.

The Brazilian International, 27, joined Porto from Inter Milan in 2016 and has since ever looked back in his football career, netting impressive 19 goals for the Portuguese outfits over his four stay at Porto.
