Willian could leave Chelsea at the end of the season after admitting difficulty in reaching agreement for contract extension

Willian could leave Stamford Bridge at the end of this season as he admits difficult situation over his contract renewal saga.

The Brazilian will see his current contract expire when the season ends, and he has long been in contact with Chelsea for new deal.

But differences still put the two parties on different side of the contract agreement. Whereas the former Anzhi Makhachkala man has requested for three year contract extension at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea have offered him two year deal due to club’s policy for over age players.

With this in presence, Willian now sees his stay at London numbered after admitting neither him nor Chelsea is ready to soften his stand as it stands now to make a new deal happen.

‘Chelsea offered me two years, and they are not going to change what they offered,’ Willian told Esporte Interativo after Chelsea’s defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

‘I said I wanted three more years. ‘The situation is difficult because of this, I really don’t know if it will be possible.

Meanwhile, Willian still wants to continue playing for Chelsea as the Blues chase for a Champions League spot next season. The Brazilian have already bagged in five goals and five assists in 35 appearances this season.

‘My goal is to continue working and focus on this remainder of the season, so that Chelsea can continue winning the games for the remainder of the season.‘I have a clear head and focused for the rest of the season that we have left.

Willian joined Chelsea in 2013 from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala in a transfer that worth £30 million before scoring his first Premier League goal against Norwich City in October 2013.
