BLOW for Hearts of Oak in epic clash against Asante Kotoko as forward Joseph Esso remains doubtful to face rivals

There is a huge blow for Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak as they prepare to welcome their bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko to week 6 of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium tomorrow.

The capital based side have been in a terrific form in their last three Premier League games winning two against Ebusua Dwarfs and Liberty Professionals before drawing at one of their most difficult venues WAFA Park against WAFA.

They now face the test of continuing their fine form in tomorrow’s super game against Kotoko as star striker Joseph Esso remain doubtful after the player sustained injury in Hearts’ Thursday training.

There is no official confirmation about Esso’s potential miss but according to reports he stands 50% chance each of featuring and missing Sunday’s clash.

Though the stats haven’t speak so well of the Black Stars B striker, netting his first goal in the league against Dwarfs in week 3, he has been an X factor for Hearts of Oak so far.

He converted a spectacular free kick against Dwarfs and that’s his only goal of the season, and for most of the times, he opens opponent’s defense for co-strikers to capitalized.
