Hearts of Oak stunned 1-0 at Bofoakwa Tano in GPL

Hearts of Oak were stunned 1-0 at Bofoakwa Tano in week 3 of the Ghana Premier League.

The new comers have been impressive at the early stage of the season winning two, including today’s victory over Hearts of Oak, and drawing one game at Great Olympics.

Hearts of Oak beat Nosoatreman FC 1-0 in their first home game of the season, where they were returning from 1-0 loss in the season’s opener at Real Tamale United.

Hearts were only confident of their second victory to highlight their readiness for the Ghana Premier League title.

After a resilient first half display, the Phobians were on course for a good results but early second half strike for the home side ensure Hearts’ struggle at start of the season continues.

Bofoakwa Tano could have doubled their lead midway after long spell dominance but were not clinical enough to get the second goal.

There were impressive display from Hearts’ Ibrahim Salifu and much talked about Kashala Wanet but the Bofoakwa Tano defenders contained the menace of the Congolese International.

Bofoakwa Tano opened a midway high pressure putting Hearts of Oak at the edge of the sword but their lack of sharpness always put the visitors at the safer side in those moments.

The victory move Bofoakwa Tano to top of the GPL table with 7 points.
