Guinean champions AS Kaloum Star complete the signing of former Asante Kotoko striker Ahmed Toure

Guinean side AS Kaloum Stars have completed the signing of former Asante Kotoko striker Ahmed Toure on a 2-year deal last Tuesday.

Toure failed to walk into the hearts of AS Vita Club supporters following his move from ASEC Mimosas to the DR Congo side in 2019.

Despite failing at Vita Club, his potential has been recognized in Guinea and Kaloum Stars reached agreement to lure the Burkina International last week to the Stade du 28 Septembre.

On Tuesday this week, Toure completes a 2-year deal to Stars who are preparing for a good campaign next season.

Toure, 32, walks in at the Guinean Premier League outfits as a free agent after terminating his contract with Vita Club last week, and joins former team-mates Amos Frimpong in the Guinean side.

Toure had a successful spell at ASEC Mimosas in the 2018/2019 season as he scored 12 goals in the Ivorian Ligue 1 before heading to DR Congo.

The 32-year old is one of the foreign players to have shined in the Ghana Premier League specifically in stint with Asante Kotoko and Bechem United in 2007-2008: 2011-2012 and 2016-2017 season respectively.

The Ivorian-Burkinabe has also played for Africa Sports in Ivory Coast between 2005 and 2007, El Gouna in Egypt and Belgian side KSC Lokeren.
