AC Milan, Man Utd and Arsenal enter into competition for Bayer Leverkusen and Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong

Three horse race has emerged for Bayer Leverkusen and Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong.

Jeremie Frimpong’s sensational performance for the German’s outfit has attracted interest from AC Milan, Man United and Arsenal this summer.

The 22-year old made 20-goal involvement across all competitions for Leverkusen last term including 8 goals and 7 assists.

AC Milan is understood a fan of the defender’s versatility hoping to spend part of Sandro Tonali’s sale to Newcastle money on the Leverkusen star.

The Serie A side have faced competition from Man United for the Ghanaian International with Erik ten Hag also a big admirer of Jeremie Frimpong. United have even been linked with the defender since the beginning of last season.

Arsenal is the latest club to join the race to sign the right-back this summer. Mikel Arteta is aware of AC Milan and Man United’s interest in Jeremie Frimpong and have asked his club to act smart for the move.

German publication The Bild reports that Arsenal are willing to pay up to €40 million for Jeremie Frimpong, the attacking right-back from Bayer Leverkusen.

Last season, the Gunner came close to breaking their long-term Premier League drought only Man City’s league momentum showed at the end of the season as Pep Guardiola’s side lifted their sixth title since a breakthrough in 2012.

Arsenal keen on improving their performance next season and have transfer ambitions to achieve the goal.

The North London side have captured Kai Havertz from Chelsea, and on the verge of signing Ajax star Jurrien Timber and of completing €113million deal for Declan Rice from West Ham United.

Jeremie Frimpong is another major player the Gunners have targeted as Leverkusen is ready to sell the defender.
