SPAL 0-2 Hellas Verona: Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu returns to full fitness after making his Hellas Verona debut against SPAL

Hellas Verona begin the New Year with a sweet victory over SPAL, and there was good news for the Italians aside their victory today.

Ghanaian midfielder Agyemang Badu who missed the start of the season due to injury returns to make his debut for his new club Verona against bottom placed SPAL.

On 13 July 2019, Badu signed to Hellas Verona on loan with an obligation to buy. He was hospitalised in August with blood clots on his lungs, but was cleared to play in December 2019.

Badu was named in Hellas Verona’s trip to SPAL but was benched, only coming in for Mattia Zaccagni when it was 1o minutes to time.

Giampaolo Pazzini struck first on the 14’ minute before Mariusz Stepinski registered 85’ minute goal to end the game 2-0 in favor of Badu’s side.
