MANCHESTER UNITED heavily been linked with Messi transfer in summer but fear losing the Argentine to Liverpool or Man City

In the wake of his public spat with Barcelona, the Red Devils are reportedly keen to bring the one and only Lionel Messi in on a free transfer.

The Argentine is reportedly able to leave the Catalan giants at the end of every season should he desire.

According to El Pais, Messi has a clause in his contract that “allows him to opt out at the end of every year if he chooses.”

His recent bust-up with the Catalans and Barcelona’s defeat to Athletico Bilbao in the Spanish Copa del Rey yesterday has undoubtedly suggested Messi’s desire to exit Camp Nou at the end of this season, though there is no official confirmation.

A number of clubs, Liverpool, AC Milan, Manchester City and Manchester United are all reported to be interested in the Argentine.

According to reports, Manchester United who have begun plans for their summer transfer activities have now come to realized and understood the need to bring Messi to Old Trafford.

United are believed to be planning a bigger deal for the Barcelona Super Star, and only fear Messi snubbing them for either Liverpool and Manchester City when the number 10 even decides to leave Camp Nuo.

Meanwhile, United have a boost in Kalidou Koulibaly race, when the Senegalese is now planning to leave Napoli who sit 10th of the Seria A table, when Gattuso’s side failed to qualify for Europe.
