Young Africans maintain league unbeaten run after 1-1 draw against Simba in Kariakoo derby at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium. 

Young Africans and Simba SC share the spoil in a fierce derby on Saturday as Yanga maintain unbeaten run in the 2020/2021 Tanzania Premier League.

Young African is the only side that are yet to taste a defeat in this season top flight league, winning 7 and drawing only once from their previous 8 games before Saturday’s derby clash against Simba.

With Yanga facing their strongest rivals in the league, a season’s first defeat was looming ahead of Cedric Kaze’s side.

However, they have saw their unbeaten run in top flight league intact after tight 1-1 contest against Simba.

Yanga took first half lead when Ghanaian International Michael Sarpong converted 32’ minute penalty.

While the home side were seemingly running away with all three points, a stoppage time heart break was inflicted as Simba drew level when Joash Onyango head home from a corner with only 4 mintes left to full time.

Yanga are placed second on the league log, two points behind leaders Azam FC who have 25 point but the former have a game in hand.
