ES Setif warn Asante Kotoko after ahead of Confederation Cup first leg

The Ghana Premier League outfit have been warned ahead of Caf Confederation Cup first leg in Ghana.

Asante Kotoko face a stiffer opponent in ES Setif as continental football stage this weekend.

The Ghanaian side have had a tremendous transition in league performance after resurging from 7th position on the Ghana Premier League table to first in the last two weeks.

A bigger test awaits them on Sunday afternoon when they face Algerian Premier League leaders ES Setif at the Accra Sports Stadium.

With Setif comfortably leading the domestic league table, they have fired a strain of warning to the Ghana Premier League giants.

The North African side’s Media officer Ibrahim Kharfia has said that his club is prepared for the game against Asante Kotoko in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup play-offs.

And despite being aware of Kotoko’s pedigree, ES Setif are confident of getting a good results against Kotoko in Ghana.

“We hope to get good results”, he told Kumasi-based radio station Oyerepa FM.

“We are coming on Friday and preparations for the first match against Asante Kotoko is going well”

“We are hoping this match is played in good condition after all the victories in national championships.

The Algerian giants will arrive in the West African country on Friday. “Good results is what we are hoping and coming for”. We have some information about Asante Kotoko one of the big clubs in Ghana.”

Kotoko dropped to the Confederation Cup after being crushed out from the Champions League by Sudanese side Al Hilal Omdurman.

Setif meanwhile walked over Renaissance from Chad in the first round of the Confederation Cup.
