Ghana stunned 2-0 by Burkina Faso in second game of WAFU U-20 Boys Cup of Nations

The Black Satellite of Ghana failed a test against Burkina Faso U-20 in WAFU U-20 Zone B Boys Cup on Monday afternoon.

Samuel Boadu’s men drew 1-1 in their first game against Niger and needed victory against Burkina to boost their chances of qualifying to the semifinals.

Ghana were hosted and defeated by Burkina Faso 2-0 in the Group A contest.

Today’s defeat put the Black Satellite at the edge of exit from the competition but have to beat hosts Ivory Coast in the final group game on Thursday to qualify for the knockout stages.

Ghana dominated the first half but went down 1-0 before another goal to nil in the second half completed Burkina’s 2-0 win. Ghana showed the talent but Burkina were determined that drew the difference between the two sides.
