King Faisal assistant coach Ablordey highlights CAF Confederation Cup football ambition

King Faisal assistant coach Godwin Ablordey has indicated that the club is making arrangements to ensure it represents Ghana in Africa in case the team wins this year’s MTN FA Cup.

The Kumasi-based club has reached the semi-finals of the domestic cup competition and will take on Nsoatreman FC this weekend.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference on Wednesday, Coach Godwin Ablordey stressed that King Faisal are ready to play in Africa.

“Going to Africa without King Faisal no going. If we win the FA Cup. We are going to Africa. I can assure um,” the coach indicated.

Coach Godwin Ablordey further noted that while King Faisal are prioritising the Ghana Premier League, the team will do everything to win the MTN FA Cup semi-final clash against Nsoatreman FC.

“We are thinking about the League more. We will manage the team and make some one or two changes. Whatever the case, we are going to beat them,” he said.

The MTN FA Cup semi-final game between King Faisal and Nsoatreman FC is scheduled to kick off at 15:00gmt at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday, May 14.
