Black Stars shift attention to USA, Mexico friendlies after wins over CAR and Liberia

The U.S and Mexica come in sight of the Black Stars in international friendlies in October.

Chris Hughton will hope to continue his fine start to life as Ghana head coach after leading the Black Stars to qualify for 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast.

The Black Stars of Ghana have now turned their attention to the international friendlies against the United States of America and Mexico.

This was after a successful September international window that resulted in two wins over the Central African Republic and Liberia.

The game against Mexico, who are the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup champions, will be played in the United States as part of the 20th anniversary of the MexTour.

This fixture comes off on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars will face the United States of America in the second international friendly on October 17, 2023.

That will be three days after the game against Mexico.

The United States will host four-time World champions Germany and Ghana in two high-profile friendly matches in preparation for its quarterfinal matches in the Concacaf Nations League the following month.

Ghana will also use both games to prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers coming up in the November international break.
