CHELSEA have been revealed as the most charitable club in England, recent figures have shown.

There are many football clubs in England but its Chelsea who appeared the leading candidates for charity works in England.

It’s not just the leaky Blues defence that’s been charitable at Stamford Bridge this season – as the Chelsea Foundation have spent £7.5million on charitable causes.

And that is more than any other club in England’s top four leagues.

The figures come from The Charity Commission, with Footy.com having dug up the numbers.

These amounts come from each club’s primary charity.

And amazingly, second tier Charlton are second only to Chelsea, having contributed £5,586,000 through their South of England Foundation.

Norwich through their Norwich City Community Sports Foundation appeared third contributing £4,523, 465 and Manchester United sit fourth with £4, 309, 963.

The data was gathered from Charity Commission website for the most recent official data for each football club’s primary charity, which in the majority of cases ran from April 2018 to April 2019. Secondary or affiliate charities were not taken into account for this report.
