Inter Milan close to signing Olivier Giroud from Chelsea this January

Olivier Giroud seems not happy at Chelsea where he is currently preferred in a third-choice striking option for Frank Lampard behind English International Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi.

Giroud have always opted for more playing time in order to enhance his chances of appearing in EURO 2020, and a move away from London has been necessary for the former Arsenal forward.

Crystal Palace, Lyon and Inter Milan are all reported to give Giroud more playing time, but the French International is reluctant to join Palace for many reasons. Lyon may have been a possible destination for the French International, but the French outfits would not be able match Giroud’s €500k a month gross salary leaving Inter Milan the favorite side to offer Giroud his more playing time ambition.
