Inter Allies ‘on-fire’ Victorien Adebayor confident of winning the Ghana Premier League golden boot after brace against Berekum Chelsea

Inter Allies star man Victorien Adebayor has set his sights on winning the 2019-2020 Ghana Premier League goal-king after grabbing a brace against Berekum Chelsea yesterday at the Berekum Golden City Park.

Adebayor joined Inter Allies three years ago after the Niger International had impressive campaign in Niger jersey during the 2017 WAFU tournament hosted and won by Ghana.

Despite been tempted with lucrative offers away from Inter Allies before the season kick started, Adebayor remained with the Tema based side, and has now become the first player to reach scoring double figures in the Ghana Premier League after his recent brace against Berekum Chelsea at Berekum.

The Inter Allies forward, now the top scorer of the Premier League with 10 goals in nine outings has set his eyes on winning the Golden Boot award of this year’s Ghana Premier League.

Speaking to the media after his brace against Chelsea on Saturday, the Niger international disclosed his decision he wants to clinch the Golden Boot, and he manufactured this decision prior to clash against Berekum Chelsea, thus where he wanted to score two goals against Chelsea to make a statement.

” I told my teammates I want to score two goals against Berekum Chelsea to make a statement. And thank God I was able to score two goals. I’m ready to fight for the golden boot.

The attacker also spoke about his opener against Chelsea. ” I saw from the beginning the keeper wasn’t good.

“He was panicking in the goalposts. So I knew if add a bit technique I could score from that angle” he added.

Adebayor will lead his team when Medeama SC travel to the capital to face Inter Allies on Wednesday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
