The Ghana International was been linked with a move to North Africa with Zamalek first showing interest in the 21-year old forward.

Despite Zamalek’s link, it’s USM Alger that have won the Ghanaian’s signature after agreeing around €400,000-€500,000 with Asante Kotoko last week Tuesday.

Alger will be boosted in their pursuit of the Algerian Premier League title this season having been beaten on the top by ES Setif. They currently sit 8th place on the North’s league table.

USM Alger announce on their official twitter handle on Monday, “The management of the USMA informs his dear supporters that an agreement has been reached with his Ghanaian counterpart of Asante Kotoko SC for the final transfer of striker Kwame Opoku who will sign up for four and a half years.”
