Asante Kotoko striker Richard Arthur in talks to seal a move to Ethiopian outfits Saint George SC

According to latest reports in Ghana, Asante Kotoko SC striker Richard Arthur is close to completing  a move to the Ethiopian Premier League after been held negotiations with Saint George Sports Club.

Arthur joined Kotoko just last year when the Ghanaian side were preparing for African campaign and hopes were high on the Ghanaian Arthur.

With Kotoko failing to make a significant impact in continental football this term, Arthur’s output at Kotoko is been brought under scrutiny since new boss Maxwell Konadu took over from Kjetil Zachariassen December last year.

Arthur, 26, has been left out in the starting lineup since changes hit Kotoko’s technical department. He has been preferred to as a third option to William Opoku Mensah and Guinea ace Naby Laye Keita in the striking pegging order.

The former Wa All Stars (Now Legon Cities Football Club) goal-poacher have departure from the Baba Yara Stadium in the pipeline as he has reportedly involving talks with Ethiopian side Saint Georges

The 26-year old and Saint Georges are in advanced stage of talks as claimed by Footballmadeinghana.

Arthur run out of contract at Saint Georges July 2019 before signing for the Ghana Premier League outfits a month later.

The 26-year old Ghanaian striker has two more years on his current contract at Kotoko and could negotiate for contract cancellation to see him leave free for former side Saint George.

Arthur has appeared 10 time and managed 3 goals across all competitions for Kotoko so far, and that include his famous goal against Etoile Sportive du Sahel in the CAF Champions League at Baba Yara Stadium last September.
