Zambia open a strong start to African Nations Championship after thrashing Tanzania in first game

Zambia have opened a strong start to 2021 CHAN tournament in Cameroon after beating Tanzania 2-0 on Tuesday afternoon.

Tanzania were the better side after having majority of ball possession but were left to secummb to two second half goals from Zambia.

The first half ended goalless and the game didn’t look a one that would provide more than a goal if a winner would be found. However, Sikombe and Chabula found back of the net to ensure Zambia become the first team to score more than a goal in single match in the competition.

Sikombe scored from a penalty as Chabula struck from open play when it was nine minutes to full time.

Zimbia next game is against Guinea while Tanzania play Namibia on Saturday evening.
