EXCLUSIVE: Hearts of Oak set to appoint Dutch man Rene Hiddink as technical director

Reports from local media suggest that Accra Hearts of Oak is on the verge of appointing Rene Hiddink as their new Technical Director.

Hiddink, a retired football player, previously served as the assistant coach for the Maldives national team. He brings with him a wealth of experience from managing various teams in the Netherlands, Rwanda, Madagascar, and the Maldives.

The club is taking steps to bolster its technical team in preparation for the upcoming 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

As part of this restructuring, assistant coach David Ocloo has already departed, and the Phobians are reportedly considering appointing former Black Stars winger, Laryea Kingston, as the head coach.

Additionally, there are rumors that former Legon Cities and Black Stars goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda, could join Hearts of Oak as the goalkeepers’ trainer.

Currently, Dauda holds the position of Ghana U-20 goalkeepers trainer, adding further expertise to the club’s technical staff.
