Match Report: Morocco 0-0 Rwanda as it happened, African Nations Championship CHAN 2020

Morocco are been forced to a goalless draw by Rwanda in the African Nations Championship (CHAN), delaying the North Africa’s progression the quarter finals of the competition in Cameroon.

Both teams failed to strike in any of the halves as Morocco and Rwanda keep second clean sheet in the competition. The Atlas Lions kept it clean in the first game against Togo while their today’s opponents drew 0-0 with Uganda last Monday.

The title holders welcomed Rwanda to a second group C game at the Reunification stadium in Douala as Morocco have to wait in last group matches to determine their fate though they can still make it to next round where they face Uganda next week Tuesday.

Morocco already had three points coming into clash with Rwanda after struggling to beat Togo in their opening game. Meanwhile, Rwanda also shared the spoils with Uganda, handing the East African country a point ahead of the meeting with the defending champions.

Morocco looked passionate in early minutes of the game but were completely lacking the sharpness up front. Despite Morocco having more of the ball in the first half, less clear cut chances were created.

The North side returned from the break strongly but Rwanda would not succumbed to Morocco’s any approach as the game ended 0-0 in Douala.

Morocco still lead group C with 4 points after two games while Rwanda have 2 points but Togo and Uganda meet later in the day.
