SADIC ADAMS, who has played for Ghana U-17, 20 and 23 have revealed why he never earned regular Black Stars call ups.

Adams, 30, became a new revelation for Ghana football after storming the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Korea at age of 17 years.

Adams formed a deadly partnership with team-mate Ransford Osei- who is one of Ghana’s greatest at youth level for the past 20 years- in the world cup, who together emerged the world’s potent striking pair at U-17 level in 2007 after the two produced a combined of 10 goals, leapfrogged Germany’s Toni Kross and Richard Sukuta-Pasu who combined scored 9 goals in the FIFA tournament.

The forward grabbed four goals, one of the high numbers in the 2007 World Cup, and his famous goals against Germany and Spain attracted him a host of interest from European clubs.

The 30-year-old Ghanaian International striker signed for Laliga outfits Atletico Madrid and made immediate impact scoring 9 goals in 22 appearances for the youth side.

Adams has not received regular call up to the senior national team of Ghana despite call ups mainly influenced by footballing reason including performances on the pitch, where if that is to go strictly, Adams thinks he met the condition.

However, the former Asante Kotoko striker has revealed his consistent snub from the Black Stars is the wrong perception people draw of him.

He lamented that he has performed better all this while to get Black Stars call ups but has been denied the opportunity to play at the senior level.

“I always do things for myself neither do I influence teammates when it comes to financial issues. I always fight for my right,” Adams told Space FM.

“I always say that I have been painted black out there and need to explain myself to anyone to have chance in Black Stars.”

“I have performed better than some players at my days at Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko but I wasn’t given the opportunity to play for the Black Stars.

“I always stand for the truth not that am disrespectful and recalcitrant,” he deduced.

His words come when he was asked to assess his prime form (that never earn regular Stars call ups) in relation to Black Stars coach, Charles Kwablan Akonnor’s maiden call up that invited four local players.

The player include striker Yahaya Mohammed from Aduana Stars, Habib Mohammed and Kwadwo Amoako from Kotoko and Ash Gold respectively and Hearts’ Richard Attah.

Sadic Adams started his football in the local scene at the 1997 CAF Champions League finalist Ash Gold where he netted 9 goals out of 19 games for the Miners in 2007 before leaving.

After making exploit in Europe, he completed a transfer back to the Ghana Premier League, signing for Berekum Chelsea in 2012, came back to the club in 2015 and left in again a year later.

He later signed for Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko in 2017 and is remembered for his hat-trick against traditional rivals Hearts of Oak in the 2017 MTN FA Cup final in Tamale.

In an intensed and packed Tamale Sports Stadium, where pride and bragging rights was at stake on the afternoon, and perhaps, the winner get the nod to represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup, Sadic Adams wasted little time, only 83 seconds, to put Kotoko ahead after receiving a nice pass into the box from Kwame Boahene, Adams controlled and turned Richard Akrofi beautifully before placing it bottom right corner.

The former Atletico Madrid striker Knew very well the treat Hearts pose in such games, and how it would be heart-breaking for his loving support base, and they only way to prevent prevent hearts, save and secure the happiness of his supporters is to cause another roller-coaster that would cause Hearts waning forever in the history of the FA final especially if the Phobians lose the title to their rivals in such a huge manner.

Adams was brought down into the box by Akrofi for a penalty, the striker rose against the odds to send the ball right hand side of Hearts stopper Benjamin Mensah to make it 2-0 for Kotoko as at the 31st minute.

The Hearts defence was completely made unaware of Adams’ thought, leaving him as a no brainer, fierce less and unmarked for most of the time until he had finished his ambition on the day until where he started to received all kinds of necessary markings.

He capitalized on a miscommunication between Vincent Atinga and Mensah to complete his hat-trick before the end of the first half. Emmanuel Gyamfi started it all, turned his marker on the right flank, sent a nicely lofted pass to the back of the box. Adams came in between Atinga’s intended pass from the head to Benjamin Mensah, the striker skipped past the goalkeeper before smashing it cool into the empty net.

Hearts captain on the day Thomas Abbey pulled one back in the second half as Kotoko run away with 3-1 emphatic victory in 2017.
