Al Ahly transfers director Amir Tawfik denies receiving offer from Al Ain for key defender Ali Maaloul

Al Ahly left back Ali Maaloul has attracted a host of clubs this season and among the latest clubs to reportedly come in for Maaloul’s signature is Al Ain.

The United Arab Emirates giants are looking forward to sign a left-back in the summer transfer window and are reportedly monitored Tunisian International Maaloul in past few months.

The Tunisian full back was initially linked with a move to Saudi Arabia giants Al Hilal last week before parent club Ahly deny opening negotiations with Hilal.

This week has been revealed that the Egyptian Premier League leaders have received a lucrative deal from Al Ain for Maaloul in a bid to snatch the Ahly player from Al Hilal.

However, director of transfers for Al Ahly Amir Tawfik has distanced club from selling the defender to Al Ain. The director has make a big revelation that Ahly have no intentions of selling one of their key performers Maaloul.

When Amir Tawfikwas talking to the Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DAP), the Reds’ transfer director debunked Maaloul’s sale rumours, claiming Ahly haven’t received any offers from the Emirates club.

He then added that head coach, Rene Weiler, along with the remainder of the coaching staff have no intention of selling the Tunisia international as he’s one of the key players within the squad.

Maaloul has been impressive this season, involving 12 times in total Ahly goals so far following his five goals and seven assists this term.
