Black Stars goal-keeper Richard Ofori faces uncertain future at Orlando Pirates

Black Stars second deputy captain Richard Ofori is facing an uncertain future at South African side Orlando Pirates, according to reports.

The Ghana international goalkeeper’s current contract with the club expires on June 30, 2023.

Although, there has been talks of contract extension but the experienced Ghanaian shot stopper is yet to put pen to paper.

Footballghana.com claims Ofori is among some players who are facing uncertain future at Orlando Pirates.

Ofori has been linked with a move away from Orlando Pirates in the ongoing transfer window.

The goalkeeper endured a torrid campaign with Pirates due to injury setbacks. He made only 13 appearances across competitions.

The 29-year-old has been at Pirates since 2020, helping them win MTN 8 trophy and played a role in the club reaching the 2021/22 CAF Confederation Cup final, where they lost the title to RS Berkane.

Ofori could look in way forward at the Tanzanian Premier League and Ghana Premier League with Asante Kotoko, Simba and Young Africans clubs he can join next season.
