Ghanaian goalkeeper Charlotte Adjei completes move from Nigerian side River Angels to Ampem Darkoa

River Angels goalkeeper, Charlotte Adjei, has signed with Ghana champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

The shot-stopper, who previously played for Supreme Ladies, has put pen to paper on a short-term contract with Ampem Darkoa, with the possibility of an extension.

The Techiman-based club welcomed Adjei to bolster their squad ahead of the upcoming WAFU Zone B championship.

Charlotte Adjei is already training with the Women’s Premier League and Women’s FA Cup champions at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.

The WAFU Zone B tournament serves as a qualifying tournament for the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League, and Ampem Darkoa are determined to secure their spot in the continental competition this time around.

During her stint with River Angels, Charlotte Adjei kept an impressive tally of 10 clean sheets in just 16 matches.

Her outstanding performances played a pivotal role in helping River Angels secure a commendable 3rd position in the league. Additionally, the team finished as the 1st runner-up in the Nigerian FA Cup.
