PSG considering putting an end to Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi and Neymar front three
RMC Sport report this evening that Paris Saint-Germain’s sporting advisor Luís Campos is already working on next summer’s transfer window, with some at the club considering putting an end to the Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi and Neymar attacking trident come next season.
Campos is looking to get back on track after a misfiring first year of recruits. The only certainty is that Kylian Mbappé will be at the centre of the project, meaning Neymar and Lionel Messi could move on – the latter’s contract expires this summer and renewal talks are reportedly at a standstill.
Youssouf Fofana and Khéphren Thuram are on Campos’ list in terms of midfield recruits, while he is also looking to Germany as Randal Kolo Muani, Marcus Thuram and Manu Koné are being targeted as well. It remains to be seen whether the club will have the budget to pull off any of the signings – they need to reduce their wage bill amid pending FFP sanctions – but in any case, the target is to bring in young, French talent to herald in a new year.
