Treat of Mamelodi Sundowns duo Nassir and Allende highlighted ahead of Chippa United clash

Mamelodi Sundowns face Chippa United in the Dstv Premiership on Wednesday evening as club official Tiyani Mabunda has talked about the threat of Abubeker Nassir and Marcelo Allende.

Mamelodi Sundowns club ambassador Tiyani Mabunda feels that there is a lot more to come from Abubeker Nassir and Marcelo Allende, who already have five goals between them this season.

Both Nassir and Allende seem to be settling well into life at Mamelodi Sundowns, and are already making a big contribution in the final third of the pitch. Ethiopian international Nassir has bagged three goals, while Chilean attacker Allende is on two goals, including one on debut against Stellenbosch FC.

“Having Nassir and Allende joining the club is really excellent and a blessing because you can see the talent that they possess. Mamelodi Sundowns is not an easy team to play for, but we have grown to understand that we need to accomodate every person from different backgrounds, different cultures and different nations. What is good about Sundowns is that football is our lanaguage and it’s an easy communication.

“As time goes, they are learning to communicate in english. It’s not easy right now because they are not as fluent as they would want to be with the language. They have the quality to fit in and there’s still more that we are going to see from them,” Mabunda told media during the Carling Black Label Cup launch.

“We need more and more goals from them to assist the club in doing well. It’s never easy to go to a club like Mamelodi Sundowns and be able to start scoring and making sure that your name is on everybody’s lips. But it’s really good to see that they did not struggle to find the back of the net, especially in moments where we needed goals.”

The two players could feature when Sundowns take on Chippa United this evening at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
