Manchester United set to complete move for Milinkovic-Savic if Paul Pogba leaves this summer

Lazio and Serbian star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has been identified to replace Paul Pogba at Manchester United according to reports.

Pobga is reportedly still knee joining Real Madrid at the end of this season and Manchester United who have resisted chances of letting the French International leave Old Trafford have now decided to consider offers for their midfielder.

This now has shifted the club’s attention to Seria A midfielder Milinkovic-Savic in a bid to sign him to replace Pogba if the rench ace does leave United this summer as claimed by Foot Mercato.

Savic meanwhile have been linked with a move away from Italy for the past two seasons but his likeliest destination has not been revealed since despite many club willing to offer the play-maker a new challenge.

This may be due to Savic’s hefty asking price £107million placed by Lazio that is preventing suitors to come in for the Serbian.

However, it’s understood that Lazio’s asking price wouldn’t be an obstacle for Manchester United as they are willing to pay for such an amount only if Pogba to leaves.

The 25-year-old signed a new 5-year deal at Lazio in October 2018 to deny speculations linking him with a move to Premier League heavyweights.

Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham and  Manchester City sent scouts to monitor the attacking in a number of Seria A matches last season but his new contract that earn him €3 million (£2.6 million) per year plus bonuses has ever prevented Premier League clubs from formalizing their interest in Savic.

He has still got three more years to spend at Stadio Olimpico and has been one of Lazio’s best performers this season, seeking to it that he finds back of the net fives and provides seven assists in 31 matches in all competitions.
