Manchester United receive huge boost in Harry Kane transfer after Englishman ready to quit Tottenham for trophies elsewhere

Harry Kane has emerged a transfer target for European top clubs since last three seasons following his consistency in front of goal for Tottenham Hotspur.

Kane is one of Spur’s most loyal players since signing his professional contract in 2010, and all that his loyalty has offered him during his 10-year-period at the new Tottenham Stadium is avalanche of goals, scoring 31 goals in 51 appearances in all competitions after becoming a house hold name at Tottenham in 2014-2015 season, and emerged as the first Spur to break the 30-goal barrier since Gary Lineker in 1991-1992 season.

He registered 21 goals in 34 Premier League outings – matching the totals of Gareth Bale (2012-13) and Teddy Sheringham (1992-93) – and became the first home-grown player to bag 20 league goals in a season since Mark Falco in 1984-1985 season.

The following season, that is the 2015-2016 term, Kane though saw a decline in his goal tally, scored an impressive 28 goals out of 50 games, and netted 35 in 38 matches the following season and 41 in 48 games across all competitions in the 2017-2018 season.

The last two seasons including the current one has saw Kane grabbed 41 goals in 65 outings, and has ever since attracted interest from Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United.

However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has warded off suitors’ attempt to sign Kane by placing amount of £200million on the England International’s head, whilst the player himself has preferred to stay at Tottenham without a hurry to leave the club.

In the era of the coronavirus pandemic, where many things are bound to happen in the world of football after return from its recess however, there could be in what is a new blowing wind for Manchester United in Harry Kane’s transfer after the 26-year-old ‘would “consider” the opportunity to move to Old Trafford to challenge for honours’, according to the Daily Mail via the Evening Standard.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup golden boot winner is believed to be tired of his prowess in goal scoring without that leading to trophies, and he has hinted his willingness to leave Spurs to search for glories and now sees Old Trafford as the break-through ground.

The Spurs striker was linked with Ole’s side last summer but nothing much happened. In the January transfer window- where Manchester United were linked with a host of world class player before they finally signed Bruno Fernandez from Sporting Lisbon, Kane came in mind but Executive-Vice-Chairman Ed Woodward later understood a deal for the Englishman in that window wouldn’t be possible.

United now have the upper hand to land one of the best center-forwards in the world after the Tottenham Hotspur star reportedly “would welcome” to a world-record move to Old Trafford.
