Chelsea are in missed situation over Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell transfers

Chelsea are left in a missed situation over transfer of Bayern Leverkusen ace Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell of Leicester City.

While Frank Lampard’s side are confident of securing a deal for both players in this summer’s transfer window, Chelsea have not yet reached any agreement for the Leicester City and Leverkusen stars- though they have added Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.

Chelsea have involved Havetz’s club in last couple of months over a possible transfer but the German outfits, despite willing to let their play-maker leave, are not ready to accept a figure less than €90million.

With Leverkusen holding firm unto their asking price without compromising anything over the transfer, Chelsea’s pace on the negotiation has reduced drastically in last few days, but there is still hope for Frank Lampard to get the 21-year old this summer according to the Bild.

The West London side find themselves similarly in Chilwell’s move after Leicester City- who missed out on Champions League football for next season, being leapfrogged by Manchester United and the Blues- resisting Chelsea-tabled £50million against their £80million asking price.

According to latest reports however, Chelsea are on the verge of landing the Three Lion International in a reduced price (£50million) from the demanded price from the fifth placed side.

That’s according to talkSPORT, who are claiming ‘there is a growing sense from within the King Power Stadium that Chilwell will be leaving the Foxes this summer amid interest from Frank Lampard.’

The report didn’t indicate that the two Premier League clubs have agreed a fee for Chilwell but that could happen early next week.

While this is a major boost in Chilwell’s transfer, Chelsea’s move for Kai Havertz still remain in stagnation after Bayer Leverkusen chief Rudi Voller insisting there have been no developments in negotiations with Chelsea over the signing the German International.

“There is nothing new in this regard, and we are still very relaxed about it,” Voller told German outlet Sport Buzzer.

“Of course we would be very happy if he stayed for another year.

“It is clear that the departure of such a player, despite the high transfer fee, always means a loss – see Leipzig and [Timo] Werner.”

But according to the Express, Roman Abramovich has given the green light to complete Chilwell and Havertz transfers and Chelsea would submit improved bid to Leverkusen.
