Chelsea reportedly agree personnel terms with West Ham midfielder Declan Rice

Chelsea’s signing of Rennes goalkeeper Mendy for £20million has taken club’s summer spending past £220m, and the west Londoners have long eyed a move for West Ham’s Declan Rice.

Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr have all joined Chelsea in a hectic transfer window as Lampard reshapes his Blues squad.

Senegal stopper Mendy has become Chelsea’s seventh senior arrival, but while Lampard refused to speak on England star Rice he also would not declare his recruitment drive to be at an end.

It’s now understood that the Blues’ pursuit of Declan Rice does not seem to be slowing down and reports have claimed the midfielder has ‘agreed personal terms’ with the club.

It has been revealed that Lampard wants to make Rice his eighth signing of the summer as he looks to complete a dramatic overhaul of his squad.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are reportedly lining up a surprise swoop for Antonio Rudiger.

The defender has been left out of the last two match day squads and the club may let him go to free up space in their squad, either on loan or on a permanent basis.
