Justice Blay tips Hearts of Oak as the number one club he cannot play for even when he leaves Kotoko

Justice Blay has tip Asante Kotoko bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak as the number one club he cannot play for in the Ghana Premier League when Asante Kotoko fail to secure him from Medeama permanently.

It quite unusual to see players of both clubs switch camp for either sides but a few have happened when Charles Taylor from Hearts of Oak signed for Kotoko in March 2003.

The transfers of Kofi Abanga and Torric Jebrin also yielded tension in the Ghanaian media though moves all from Hearts to Kotoko never materialized.

Justice Blay has distanced himself from creating yet similar scenario in almost ten years now by insisting he doesn’t want to move to the capital to play for Hearts when his loan deal at Kotoko expires at the end of the season.

The midfielder is on loan at Kotoko from Medeama SC and has the chances to play for any club including the Phobians when Kotoko fail to make the deal permanent.

Combative Blay has ruled out the possibility of playing for Hearts when he leaves Kotoko at the end of the season.

In an interview with Kumasi FM, Blay cited love and respect for Kotoko as the reasons why he may choose not to associate with Hearts.

“I cannot play for Hearts of Oak, I am a Kotoko player now, should Kotoko fail to meet the demands of Medeama in a permanent deal, I will add my own money to avoid a move to Hearts of Oak should they be able to meet the demand” he told Kumasi FM.

“During my stint with Medeama, some supporters approached me in their quest to sign but it couldn’t materialized”

“I remember when a staunch supporter of the club who is a police officer (Sheriff Phobia)at Takoradi wanted to sign but he gave up on me since I was not ready for them”.

One of the best ways to avoid joining Hearts is for Kotoko to tie down the midfielder on permanent basis, and Kotoko are in negotiations with parent club Medeama Supporting Club to see if a permanent deal for the midfielder can be agreed.
