With both Daniel Akpeyi and Itumeleng Khune ageing, and with the latest even battling with fitness issues in recent times, Chiefs are hopeful of making a short and long term readiness for their goal keeping department by securing 27 year old and former keeper Reyaad Pieterse from Sundowns this January.
Pieterse who left Chiefs for SuperSport United in 2016 had been linked with a return, and however, he has remained with Sundowns producing impressive form for Sundowns so far after joining.
Attempts in making changes at Chiefs have drawn his return closer than ever, which if not this January, it could be at the summer transfer window.
