Marcus Rashford double succumb Mourinho to first defeat as Tottenham boss

Jose Mourinho had drove Tottenham quit well after taking over at the Tottenham Stadium winning three straight games which two have come from the EPL and the other from the Champions League, and going into the clash against his former side Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening, the Portuguese was looking for his fourth straight wins across all competitions.

But many people already knew the game wasn’t going to be easy against Ole’s side, where United have been pretty special against the big guns in the EPL despite struggling against the small clubs.

Ahead of today’s clash, United had remained unbeaten against Arsenal, Liverpool and thrashed Chelsea, and the Red Devils have added Tottenham to their unbeaten run against the big clubs, inflicting a 2-1 defeat to Mourinho’s side.

Marcus Rashford grabbed a brace, a goal in each half was enough to silence his former boss’ chances of claiming his third straight EPL victories. Rashford put Manchester United ahead just 6’ minutes into the game before Dele Alli drew Tottenham on level.

A very compact United had prevent Tottenham from taking the lead in early openings of the second half, and Rashofrd restored Manchester United lead, converting a 49’ minute penalty after he was fouled inside Tottenham box.

This defeat has subjected Jose Mourinho to his first defeat in three EPL but four games in all competitions since taking over at Tottenham. United have now moved to 6th on the log with 21 points.
