Manchester United snub Erling Haaland explains decision to join Borussia Dortmund

Manchester United were completely snubbed by former Red Bull Salzburg forward Erling Haaland to join Dortmund in the ongoing transfer window, after Ole’s side have scouted the striker on several occasions in pursuit to be the first club to have lay hands on Haaland’s signature.

After joining his new teammates last weekend, spotted in an Instagram post on Dortmund’s official page, the 19 year old in an interview with Dortmund’s BVB TV has finally explain why he chose to join Dortmund.

“The club said directly: ‘we need you up front. We like your playing style and we want to have you here’,” Haaland told BVB.TV, via Bundesliga.com as per the “Express” quotes.

“I liked how they spoke to me then and that’s what triggered me. That’s when I felt that me and Dortmund was a good match.”

And after scoring 28 in 22 games for Salzburg, Haaland has now come to stay at the Bundesliga side where he will be remained until 2024.
