Mahatma Otoo on target for Balikesirspor as side earn a vital away point against Adanaspor, dedicates goal to ‘late’ mother

Former Hearts of Oak former Mahatma Otoo open the score for Balikesirspor when they came out from the Adana 5 Ocak Stadium with a vital point against Adanaspor on Friday evening.

The home side Adanaspor had gone four games without a win where the last three before today’s game had all ended a defeat for the relegation club.

Balikesirspor on the other hand were looking for a first victory after previous two drawn games but the spoils were shared between the two sides.

Going into the game, Otoo was told of a life sad story when he was told his mother is ‘late’ (dead). But the Ghanaian striker stood firm to grace the game.

He put his side in front on the 39th minute before Adanaspor equalized through Hakan Cinemre on the 76th minute.

The Ghanaian International took to twitter to dedicate his goal to his late mother, twitting, “Very difficult time for the family and I now, Rest well Mum”.

He added, “I dedicate today’s goal to my mum, May Her Soul Rest in Peace.”

Otoo and his side sit 10th on the Turkish with 34 points.
