Ghana confirmed lineup vs Mali International friendly, Alexander Djiku, Partey, Jordan and Andre Ayew start

Charles Kwablan Akonnor has named his XI in Ghana’s friendly against Mali in Turkey as the 4-time Afcon champions prepare for next month’s Afcon qualifiers against Sudan.

Lawrence Ati-Zigi who is in the posts, gets his first Black Stars start since June 2018. The Black Stars boss has opted to go with the 4-2-3-1 system.

Brentford defender Tarique Fosu got a late call up to Ghana’s games against Mali and Qatar but has feature make a leap in becoming a key member for the Black Stars under Akonnor.

The four at back comprise Fosu and Gideon Mensah playing as full backs whiles Nicholas Opoku and Kassim Nuhu play in Central defence this afternoon.

Another debutant Alexander Djiku receives his first start. The French-born Ghanaian International has impressed in training in Antalya and partners Bernard Mensah in central midfield.

Captain Andre Ayew and Eugene Ansah will operate on the flanks. Arsenal new signing Thomas Partey meanwhile plays in the hole behind Jordan Ayew as a lone striker.

Turkey time kickoff: 8pm
