Besiktas enter into negotiations with Kayserispor for the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah

Turkish giants Besiktas are reportedly enter into negotiations to sign Ghanaian International Bernard Mensah from Kayserispor ahead of the summer transfer window according reports from Turkey.

Mensah joined Kayserispor in initial loan deal from Atletico Madrid back in 2018 scoring 3 goals in 23 league appearance for the Turkish side before making his stay a permanent one at the beginning of this season.

It looks Kayserispor will now lose the services of Mensah at the end of this season given his improvements upon games but with many of interests in the Ghanaian, Besiktas are destined to land the Mensah this summer.

Mensah, 25, has simply been splendid and a key man in Kayserispor’s 16th position on the Turkish Premier League table with 31 points from 31 games, and the former Kasımpaşa midfielder has provided 5 goals and 8 assists this season for his side.

Earlier this week, Kayserispor confirmed offers for the 25-year old but are only willing to do business after the end of this season.

“There are offers to many of our players from home and abroad. However, as the management, we have decided not to talk to any club at the moment”, vice president Mustafa Tokgöz told Futball Surgery.

“We are not going to transfer to any club. We only take requests. We are concentrated in the league for the time being. They are evaluated after being in the league”, he added.

“We don’t want to keep the player who wants to go. But many players will want to stay. We know that players are happy with the payments and the environment. Although there are rumors, we don’t have a player who wants to go so far. However, if anyone wants to go, we will pave the way.”

Turkish champions Besiktas are now leading to race in Mensah’s transfer after opening negotiations with Kayserispor according to latest reports from Turkey.

Kayserispor president Berna Gözbasi has made a big revelation about Besiktas chances of signing Bernard Mensah in summer.

“We have met with Besiktas on Mensah [over a summer move]. I do not want to say anything about the result before the league ends.” Gozbasi told Haber7.

Mensah who is also scouted by Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor has two more years on his current contract at Kayserispor and could be allowed to leave if the right agreement is reached.
