Ghanaian International Emmanuel Gyasi shines in Spezia Calcio’s 5-1 victory over Consenza

Ghanaian International Emmanuel Gyasi shined in Spezia Calcio’s emphatic victory against Consenza in Friday night football in the Italian Serie B.

Gyasi rediscovered his scoring boots in the 5-1 thumping of Cosenza at the Stadio Alberto Picco on Friday night.

The 26-year-old laid on an assist for Andrey Galabinov in the 20th minute to hand Spezia a 2-0 lead before half time.

Galabinov had opened the scoring after just six minutes, but the lanky forward was replaced in the 30th minute due to sustained injury in the game.

Spezia continued from where they left off in the first half when Giuseppe Mastinu added the third goal 50 minutes on the clock before adding his second but Spezia’s fourth goal five minutes later.

The visitors, Consenza, pulled one back through Mirko Bruccini in the 63rd minute, but Gyasi turned a provider again, latching on a pass to M’bala Nzola to score Spezia’s fifth goal.

The Ghanaian has netted 11 goals in the Italian second tier league and was adjudged the best player of the match on Friday’s victory.

The result saw Spezia Calcio move into promotion play offs spot with a chance to gain automatic promotion to the Seria A next season.
